Mrs Silma Ihram

Education & Community Consultant

Silma Ihram is a prominent Muslim Educator and Vice Chair of the Australian Council of Islamic Education in Schools. She is well known for her fight to retain Noor Al Houda Islamic College, a school she founded (along with her husband) in Sydney, in 1983. It was featured in the documentary "Silma's School" which aired on ABC Compass in 2006. She is completing a research degree in 'Understanding the development of identity in adolescent Muslim Lebanese youth' and now works as a consultant in the area of education & Muslim community relations.
